The mission of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Fluids is to promote scientific interactions and collaborations among UCSB faculty, researchers, students and visitors, with the goal of fostering new research avenues and novel innovative, interdisciplinary projects. An important component of the mission is to enhance educational opportunities for graduate students in fluid mechanics and its applications.
