Driving Directions
Traveling North on the U.S. 101 Freeway (to the UCSB Visitor Center):
Exit the 101 freeway at the Airport / UCSB (Route 217) off-ramp (approximately eight miles north of Santa Barbara) and proceed through the Henley Gate at the east campus entrance. Veer right onto Mesa Road and turn left at the first light, into Parking Structure 10. Parking permits can be purchased from automatic dispensers located in the parking structure. A parking permit must be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle while on-campus.Traveling South on the U.S. 101 Freeway:
Exit the 101 Freeway at the Los Carneros off-ramp (approximately 11 miles north of Santa Barbara). Turn right onto Los Carneros Road and continue to Mesa Road. Turn left onto Mesa Road and continue until you see Parking Structure 10 near the eastern edge of campus. Parking permits can be purchased from automatic dispensers located in the parking structure. The Santa Barbara/Goleta area has numerous fine facilities for your stay.There are a few hotels in the town of Goleta very close to the campus. Some of these have a special UCSB rate and offer a free shuttle service to the campus. The following two are frequently used by our visitors:

Staying downtown Santa Barbara is another option. Downtown hotels are further away from the UCSB campus (approx. 10miles), but place our visitors in the middle of a fun and beautiful town.
